We exist so families in East Texas feel seen, known, and deeply cared for.

In East Texas, families of children with special needs often find themselves navigating systems that were not built with their children in mind, facing barriers to care, limited access to resources, and a lack of inclusive spaces where their children can truly belong. These challenges are not just logistical, but deeply personal, leaving many families feeling isolated and unseen.

Sparrow in the Pines was founded in 2026 by a group of therapists and parents who saw these gaps firsthand and felt called to respond. Rooted in the truth of Matthew 6:26–28, that even the sparrow is seen and cared for, our desire is that every child in East Texas would feel seen, known, and valued, and that every family would experience genuine support and connection within their community.

Through initiatives like therapy scholarships, adaptive equipment support, community education, and the development of inclusive spaces, Sparrow in the Pines is working to remove barriers and create opportunities for children of all abilities to play, grow, and thrive. What began as a shared conviction is becoming a movement toward a more compassionate and connected East Texas, one where no family has to walk this journey alone.

Join us at Sparrow in the Pines, where every child’s potential is nurtured and every family is embraced. Together, we can make a difference and create a world of inclusion, support, and joy for all.
